New things I did this month in Haiku form:
Curling:
Bumpy ice suface,
Sliding heavy rocks go far,
Surprise core workout.
Geocaching:
I cannot find you,
Despite GPS unit,
Little plastic tub.
Japadog:
Nori as topping,
Still kind of like a hot dog,
Sodium, it burns.
Amen.

One of our more personal goals at work was to create a community for all the bio-geeky children out there. Yesterday a family came in, signed up to become members, then the kid readily supplied all the answers in the interactive portion of the puppet show. I think they were planning on coming back today for a talk on algae.
Are we making the place that we wanted to exist when we were kids? Maybe. Is that a bad motivating principle? I don't think so.
Went curling for the first time ever. Good things to remember: ice is cold, ice is slippery, the rocks go far with very little effort.
