The suitcase is splayed open in the basement, half full of travel shrapnel. My desk is cluttered with detritus from my last job, the contents of a filing cabinet having been emptied onto it. Papers litter the floor. I’m setting up a new office, and trying to organize my life, and I’m still not completely back in this time zone.

    Gone to find the turtles.

As I return to the familial home and the hour and a quarter long slog across the city, I note that living by yourself with a 10 minute bike commute means you spend far less time in a day annoyed by other people.

So there's this anti-abortion guy on the news, he's been arrested for protesting too close to a clinic, and he's going on about how his rights to free speech have been violated. First off, for a guy who wants to legislate what women can and can't do with their own bodies, he seems a little hung up on personal freedom. Second, no, you're not being arrested for what you're saying, you're being arrested for saying it somewhere that could cause distress to people who work there or are going there. Is it too much to expect anti-abortionists to have a sense of nuance?
