This was our last morning with Geoff, and we said our adieus to his cousins Vanessa (1), Derrick, and Ryan (2, l-r, far couch), his Aunt May, and their home in Richmond Hill (3). Geoff drove us to Wendy’s apartment, and left to cover the late shift keeping Brantford well supplied with drugs (the good kind). We dumped our stuff and walked up the always-colourful Yonge St. (4), finding a bubble tea house with Taiwanese food and drinks with MIXED JELLIES! (5).
We got in touch with Wendy, who was still at work, we arranged to meet downtown. A trip on the subway, with its familiar names (5), massive trains, and rushing crowds (7), brought us downtown. We met Wendy in the Eaton Centre (9), since she works in one of the associated office complexes, and headed out (10). A quick walk past City Hall (8) and Roy Thompson Hall (11) brought us to the restaurants of King St. (12) including “Fred’s Not Here”, where we got dinner. A trip back to Wendy’s and we were comparing vacation pictures, Wendy having just returned from Disney World. I fell asleep partway though my own pictures, so if you want details, ask Tree or Wendy. < previous | index | next > |
