It started raining; thunder-rolling-across-the-sky kind of raining. We made it to Syntagma square, in front of the Parliament buildings (1). We, like so many other people and the occasional stray dog, decided to duck into the subway station and check out their display of archaeological artifacts unearthed during construction (2). People milled around the floor (3), but we decided to brave it and walk back to the hotel, ducking into doorways along the street (4).
    After drying off, we had enough energy left to go to the restaurant on the roof of the hotel. Mediocre food, but a lovely view of the Acropolis at dusk (5), Academias Street and the moon (6), and the Acropolis later at night (7).
