The next morning we saw Wendy off to work, then left her apartment (1) for a walk south along Yonge St. We were North of Sheppard and walked to Eglinton, which was about 7Km total and crossed Hwy. 401. Didn’t really know all that before we started out.
Anyway, it gave us a chance to explore the city, discovering parks and gardens, old houses, and restaurants in Lawrence Village (2). We took the subway back (3), which was faster, if significantly less scenic. A cab to the airport got us there rather ridiculously early, but you never know with international travel. We found more stuffed animals dressed as Mounties (4), and spent more quality time in the lounge.
Our flight left on time, but had a stop in Montreal about which some passengers were unaware (5). After the hour-and-twenty-minute stopover, we faced another nine hours or so to Athens, during which time we survived two Steve Martin movies, and tried to sleep (6).
