Schistostega pennatais often found on the soil of overturned trees...in shady areas. We saw it on our first fieldtrip to Pacific Spirit Park. If you are lucky you will be able to the luminous protonema.

The leaves of this bryid moss are in two rows!!!!

Here you can see (not too well) a sporophyte.
