(604) 822-9413

PostDoctoral Fellow

B.Sc., UBC (1985); Ph.D., UBC (2000); Postdoctoral Fellow, National University of Mexico (2001); Postdoctoral Fellow, UBC (2002)

Teaching and Research Interests:

My research has focused on the ecology of marine communities, and consisted of both field and molecular work.  Specifically, I investigated and clarified the complex life history of the temperate green alga, Acrosiphonia, and I initiated a population genetics study of the tropical seagrass, Thalassia.  I am presently working with Rob to expand our understanding of algal endophyte / host relationships.  This will involve both field work and the use of scanning EM. I have a general interest in all issues regarding biodiversity and conservation.

Courses taught 2002-2003:
Biology 121 – Ecology, Genetics and Evolution
